Human by nature.As Product Development Manager, Beverages (m/f/d) you will manage the European Innovation Product Development team and activities for Beverages in Europe.This includes providing complex technical expertise and developing cooperation with multiple customers, suppliers, and stakeholders. Executing innovation projects according to our goals and EHS policies.The role is based in Naarden (NL) reporting to the Product Development Director Europe.You will:Promote Beverages Innovation in Europe

• Contribute to the definition of European growth strategy by working with the regions to understand Beverages customer technical needs and opportunities.
• Develop and commercialize Givaudan innovation Beverages products in close collaboration with the European markets and the global Science & Technology team.
• Lead innovation, including alignment with operations and quality.
• Manage a portfolio of external collaborations with Suppliers, Start-Ups and Customers.

Support Beverages European Customers

• Establish relationships and represent Givaudan’s technical expertise with multiple Beverages customers.
• Lead customer visits and product presentations at customers.
• Lead the execution of selected Beverages customer briefs by managing the Givaudan products selection, evaluation and application development.
• Collaborate with operation and quality on LifeCycle activities.
• Lead the Regional Pilot Plant for emulsions, juice based compounds and Beverages.

Develop and Share Knowledge and Expertise in Beverages

• Be a technical expert and advisor to marketing, sales, creation, and customers for Beverages products.
• Manage, develop, and motivate a team of 5 senior beverage application technologists and 3 application assistants.
• Recommend appropriate lab/pilot plant equipment needed for capital project investments.

Environmental Health & Safety

• Maintain a safe, clean and organized lab environment following EH&S and Food Safety policies and hold others accountable for following these guidelines.

You have:

• Given years of experience in Beverages Product Development, application lab, production or related area depends on your degree:

Minimum 10 years with a B.S. in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology orMinimum 7 years with a Master’s in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology orMinimum 4 years with PhD in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology.

• Business Fluent in English; additional language skills are an advantage
• Project management skills with a success record
• Experience leading large development projects including customer briefs and technical development projects in selected application areas
• Used to manage technicians and technologists and instruct scientists
• Understanding of emulsions and juice-based compound formulation and production processes
• Understanding of Analytical/Sensory methodology
