As Product Area Lead Digital NL, you have the opportunity to exploit the most impactful mobile led platform for ING in the Netherlands, our biggest Retail bank.In this local market we combine the power of the digital platform with our analytical capabilities to create truly engaging and personalized interactions with our customers and achieve our commercial targets, through mobile sales and beyond. Within Digital NL, you will be responsible for the local implementation of the customer facing digital channels; the ‘Bankieren app’ and (mijn)ing.nl. In addition, you are responsible for driving digital sales for all retail products.Your role & responsibilities:
Together with your product area teams, you are in charge of mobile banking app, ing.nl, content management system and digital sales funnels, resulting in the following main responsibilities:

  • Digital front runner: executing and further developing our vision.
  • Steer martech redesign: to unlock the full growth potential for Digital sales;
  • Commercial responsibility: growing double digit digital sales;
  • Customer obsession: ears and eyes of the organization on how to connect at best with our customers;
  • Further improving our client offering through personalisation throughout digital channels;
  • Magnet for digital talent, empower talents within your teams;

What are we looking for?
We are looking for a new Product Area Lead for the Digital NL area. This area consists of 5 products divided over 90 fte in business, IT and data colleagues.The Product Area Lead is responsible to execute on the digital front runner vision (the why) and help the product areas from his/her area to make it happen (the what). In this role you can design the digital proposition for 5,5 million customers in the Dutch market and implement this strategy.You are driven by commercial results and digital innovation. You are strong in spotting impactful opportunities and know how to translate those ideas to a complex stakeholder field. Within this field of interdependencies, you are able to activate and collaborate with others.You are an excellent communicator, both in writing as in presenting. After setting and communicating the direction, you are passionate and perseverant to make things happen with a strong business to IT Delivery.Your competences

  • You have a master’s degree, and at least 10 years work experience running big digital platforms, ideally e-commerce, in an international environment;
  • You have strong commercial focus and have the analytical skills to identify relevant opportunities and take data driven decisions;
  • You have strong knowledge of existing and emerging digital, data and martech technologies;
  • You have a proven track-record in future proof design of customer facing digital channels
  • You have proven track record in managing teams of CJE’s, data analysts, designers and engineers;
  • You are empathetic, able to create connection with teams and stakeholders around the world;
  • You understand technical concepts and can navigate complexity and uncertainty, connecting the dots and prioritizing for impact;
  • You are able to work closely with IT, understanding their challenges and building in a scalable way;
  • You have an ambitious, pro-active and positive mindset;
  • You are fluent in Dutch & English, both in writing and speech.
