Our Procurement teams work closely with our partners to help them realise their business needs and specialist project requirements. Every day, we support world renowned scientists and researchers, policy makers and agencies that help to keep the UK at the forefront of global science, innovation and business.
Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Delivery of procurement initiatives sourcing a range of products/services
- Independently prepare pre-tender and tender documents, following this through the full procurement sourcing life cycle
- Support the Category Manager with any ad-hoc and strategic activities
- Working closely with internal partners to deliver value-added service and agreements
To do this role well you will need:
- Demonstrable experience in the preparation and management of tenders and contracts
- Experience in the use of e-Procurement Tools, purchasing platforms, Market Intelligence, supplier performance, and spend data to inform and drive Category strategies
- Previous experience of supporting a Category Manager (or similar role) in the delivery of best practice procurement, ensuring processes and policies are followed to optimise savings opportunities
- Ideally a member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS)

To be considered, you will need to successfully obtain BPSS delete as appropriate before commencing the role, obtaining clearance usually takes 5-10 working days.
UKSBS does not hold a Home Office Sponsor Licence under the UK Immigration System, therefore applicants must have eligibility to live and work in the UK at application stage.
Working pattern
In return for your skills and experience, we offer flexible and hybrid working arrangements, with start and finish times between 8am – 6pm. Eligibility and the degree of home working will vary depending on the requirements of the role, further details will be discussed if an offer is made.
