And our way of working smarter.The Proximus Procurement team is looking for a Procurement Manager for the procurement domain Business Services.As Procurement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing procurement activities both on a strategic and tactical level. You will be responsible for sourcing suppliers who can deliver the requested products/services, identifying cost saving opportunities, negotiating contracts and managing the relationship with chosen suppliers. You will also lead or contribute to transformation projects driving process improvements, digitalization, sustainability initiatives, reporting, etc.The procurement portfolio Business Services includes a number of services ranging from (not exhaustive): contact center services, utilities, strategic & operational consulting services, HR services, financial & collection services, business travel, etc..Duties and Responsibilities:
- You develop and implement the procurement strategy of your assigned procurement portfolio in close cooperation with the internal customer. In doing so, you take into account the Proximus Group strategy, the operational and technical requirements of the internal customer and legal regulations.
- As a project manager, you handle large, complex procurement files in close cooperation with the (technical) project managers. You manage these purchase projects, often with high financial impact, with the aim of creating value and contributing to the objectives of Proximus and covering risks through contract negotiation and follow-up.
- You take the lead in the procurement process, leading cross functional teams, negotiating with suppliers and motivating the purchase decision together with the internal customer.
- In collaboration with the legal department, you ensure clear and conclusive purchase contracts that cover risk (liability, security, GDPR,…) and ESG aspects in addition to price & operational aspects.
- You build good relationships with key and strategic suppliers and monitor their performance (Supplier Relationship Management).
- You maintain good working relationships with other purchasing groups, internal customers, support services and suppliers.
- You lead a team and engage, coach and mentor team members according to Proximus values with a focus on achieving team goals, promoting an inspiring team culture and allowing your team members to grow.
Your Profile
- You have a university degree and relevant experience of at least 5 -10 years in commercial/procurement functions in high technology environment.
- You are trilingual (French, Dutch, English).
- You have experience in leading and motivating project teams. You are known as a good team player.
- You can develop and implement strategies with a focus on results.
- You have strong analytical skills and experience in leading and managing complex procurement projects.
- You are familiar with contract negotiations and its legal aspects.
- You are a strong result-oriented negotiator, and you are highly communicative.
- You are familiar with procurement software and tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- You know how to manage a team, enthuse & get results delivered.
