Procurement Manager (m/w/d)

(Wels, Austria)

Position Overview

The successful candidate for this key function will comply with the agreed procurement strategies and plans to obtain best value for money and sustainable cost reductions from expenditure on goods. He or she will also be responsible for monitoring stock levels and identifying purchasing needs. The position is based in Wels and working for 2 days from home is also an option.

What you will do

• Conducting strategic plan for the department and lead the team
• Meeting suppliers for business terms negotiation (price, MOQ, payment term, year end bonus agreements, etc.) and setting up and maintaining good supplier relationships
• Implement a supplier strategy to ensure we are having backup suppliers in place
• Conducting frequent tenders for all items
• Ensure procurement cycle and product delivery according to the production schedules
• Set up a supplier scorecard and supplier evaluation system
• Follow-up and communicate with suppliers about updates, order status, material specifications, inquiries, and other issues

Profile

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in goods purchasing
• Fluent in German and advanced in English
• Good knowledge of procurement procedures and how to deal in efficient way with suppliers
• Ability to analyze data from different sources and write accurate reports
• Excellent negotiation, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• Good planning, analytical and organizational skills
• Good command of any ERP system and MS Office
