This involves establishing strong relations with each of our product companies and technical support teams, as well as advocating for service sign-offs in new product development and phase-out projects. Additionally, you will actively pursue localization projects to ensure an optimal supply chain in the EMEA region. As a procurement engineer, you will support value-added sourcing projects in our European distribution center in Hoeselt and report to the Team Leader Sourcing.Your role:

  • Be the procurement process owner within several procurement processes:
  • Manage “Obsolete From Manufacturing” process within each product company. By working with each partner in the OFM process, you will design a service proof process to secure parts availability within our European distribution center.
  • You will establish a process to capture the global engineering changes within our service division. By promoting a service mindset in the product companies and technical support teams, you will make sure every change is captured and processed in our ERP system.
  • You will secure service procurement requirements within new product development projects. By participating in new product project meetings organized by our product companies or technical support team, you will sign off on our service and procurement requirements.
  • Support all kind of service procurement projects for which our distribution center can add value into the supply chain. As project owner, you will work with all partners and ensure the projects will be implemented within the agreed scope, timeline and cost.
  • You will actively look and lead localization projects within our EMEA region. By searching for procurement opportunities in the EMEA region, you will support the local-for-local strategy of the division.

What do we expect from you

  • You are feeling comfortable in a fast paced, change oriented environment
  • You have masters degree in engineering, economics or similar through experience
  • You are interested in systems and processes and have proven record in project management skills
  • Experience in purchase-to-pay process is a nice plus
  • Very good English skills is a must for collaboration in multinational teams
