About the jobAre you looking for an opportunity to substantially shape the QHSSE compliance framework for the whole of Business Area Wind of Vattenfall? In this unique role you will be enabling operational improvements that will help to accelerate our mission to fossil free living through the power of renewables.You will lead a team of specialists to transform our approach to requirements management, auditing, compliance and management of non-conformance, enabling BA Wind to make targeted and impactful improvements to its QHSSE operating model.Main purpose of the positionThe Process Governance & Standards Compliance Lead has two primary responsibilities: the first is to lead the PG&SC team to ensure effective planning and execution of the QHSSE Internal Audit Programme, liaison with internal compliance functions and the external certification body as well as the development and continuous improvement of compliance monitoring, performance and development of internal processes.In addition, the PG&SC Lead will responsible for identifying, defining and managing the requirements that the Integrated Management System should comply with, as well as monitoring and surveying for new requirements that emerge or change over time. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to develop and implement processes and procedures that meet the needs and requirements of quality management, environmental management, health and safety, security management, and other key standards, regulations and other aspects of the Integrated Management System. You will work in close collaboration with the IMS Development Manager, the QHSSE Compliance Officer and BA Wind Legal Governance to ensure that the IMS (Integrated Management System) is effectively implemented and compliant with relevant regulations, standards and industry best practices.Place in the organisationThe Process Governance & Standards Compliance Lead will report to the Director – IMS & Process Governance and is part of the Integrated Management System & Process Governance team of 17 colleagues within People, Culture and Standards staff functions within Business Area Wind.Your key responsibilities:
- Lead the Process Governance & Standards Compliance Team, coordinate day-to-day activities and ensure the team delivers expected outcomes against objectives.
- Use a Systems Engineering approach to Identify, define and manage the requirements that the IMS should comply with, including ISO standards and other relevant regulations and industry best practices related to quality management, environmental management, health and safety, security management, and other key areas.
- Ensure that IMS requirements are properly documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders across the organisation, including where necessary close collaboration with legal governance and others to ensure applicable legal registers are available and maintained.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in the IMS and to identify risks to compliance and opportunities to enhance the organisation’s performance in key areas.
- Develop and maintain a monitoring and surveillance process to identify new requirements that may emerge over time, and ensure that these requirements are managed and controlled in a systematic manner.
- Monitor changes to regulations and industry best practices related to the IMS and ensure that the organisation is compliant with these changes, including the initiation of the Management of Change process for the dispatch of new or changed requirements integration into the IMS.
- Deployment and maintenance of the regulatory compliance software package and ensuring all Business Units and Staff Functions with responsibility for ensuring legal compliance have access to and are updating this software package as required.
- Develop and deliver training and awareness programs to ensure that all stakeholders are aware of the requirements of the IMS and their role in complying with these requirements.
- Participate in internal and external audits to ensure that the IMS is effectively implemented and compliant with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
LocationThe group is organised internationally; the employees are located across all our core operating countries where our offices are located in Amsterdam, London, Kolding and Stockholm. This provides the eopportunity to work in all of these cities.Your profileYour profileWe think you will be comfortable in your role quickly if you bring a:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Environmental Science, Quality Management, Engineering, or Business Administration, or equivalent industry experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management, environmental management, health and safety, security management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience leading of ISO internal auditing including achievement of ISO certification
- IOSH/IRCA (or equivalent) certified auditor, with lead auditor certification being a benefit in either ISO9001, 14001, 27001 or 45001.
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards and other relevant regulations and industry best practices related to quality management, environmental management, health and safety, security management, and other key areas.
- Experience developing and implementing management systems, including quality management systems, environmental management systems, health and safety management systems, and security management systems.
In addition, it will help you be successful if you bring the following soft skills,
- Excellent planning and organisation skills with a proven track record of executing Internal Audit programmes and liaising with other compliance functions and external certification bodies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues related to the IMS.
- Experience working in the renewable energy or sustainable business industries is highly desirable.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
