Join us as our new Process Engineer Biotechnology and be welcomed to the Process Management Team We are looking for a new full time Process Engineer in our local Process Management Team of five scientists and technicians. The team collaborates closely with local and global colleagues from production, quality control and assurance, R&D. Together you will have a central role in optimizing processes and enhancing efficiency, contributing to quality and safety. You will be based in Pohlheim, close to Gießen, and will have opportunity to work from home two days a week.

In this role you will: – Prepare test plans for biotechnological processes, especially drying processes.

• Execute, document, and evaluate experiments, including planning and designing upscaling for production.

• Develop and implement strategies for evaluating production data, including usage of advanced data analysis software.

• perform independent problem solving, e.g., in case of deviations in the process and interdepartmental coordination, especially with quality control and production.

• Creating specification documents and FMECA.

  Educational background and potentially relevant experience:

  University education in the fields of bioprocess engineering or process engineering

  Knowledge in the areas of fermentation and drying.

  Experience in data analysis, using statistical evaluation methods.

  Basic knowledge of programming (Python, Java, ST)

  Knowledge and practical experience with structured improvement methods and approaches (e.g. Lean Six Sigma)

  Very good knowledge of English
