Job Purpose and Impact
This position will apply technical knowledge to design, develop and maintain site standards, application, gaps, solutions to increase production quality, efficiency and volume for the business related focused on Process automation and related Application Software. In this role, you will perform day to day activities related to automation engineering to enable projects and improve our capabilities by providing support to the organization.
Key Accountabilities

Apply general knowledge of principles, terms, and practices of automation engineering to support the design and build of safe and reliable operations.

Coordinate, provide direct support or implement process automation deliverables aligned with business objectives and according internal or industrial practices incl. updating documents (URS, FDS, P&IDs).

Executing and/or leading small investment projects or support large projects on automation engineering standards and deliverables.

Monitor and support progress for projects with medium levels of complexity and ensure Process Control and Automation area is well defined and meets the business and cost objective

Identification, Implement, monitor, and track process improvements by introducing and using industrial standards (vendor libraries, ISA88, ISA106, IEC61511) and provide actionable solutions.

Supporting the assessment of automation engineering development and application opportunities and further dissemination across common practice areas

Support, analyze and develop conclusions regarding areas of improvement and identify opportunities to improve performance and determine acceptable risk tolerance.

Maintaining the operational level of the installed base, independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff and participation in the call out group.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum of three years of related work experience
• Other minimum qualifications may apply
Preferred Qualifications
• Minimum of five years’ experience in process automation application software, in a chemical manufacturing environment or comparable
• Experience with troubleshooting, solve equipment problems on complex systems even under time pressure
• Intermediate project management skills
• Strong technical and mathematical skills
• Demonstrated working knowledge of industry standards (ISA88, ISA106, IEC61511 and the GAMP V-model), principles, theories, concepts, and techniques like DCS systems (e.g., ABB Freelance, PCS7 or equal)
