You will join CSU Sigonella, which is the leading provider of Communications and Information System (CIS) products and services to locally based NATO entities such as the NATO Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Force (NISRF). CSU Sigonella enables end-to-end CIS services and manages critical technological capabilities during peacetime, crisis and war.We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Principal Technician (IT Change Management) who will take on the following roles and responsibilities:

• Manages change to the service infrastructure including service assets, configuration items and associated documentation;
• Implements routine changes in a live IT service environment;
• Generates schedule and time estimates for IT service changes;
• Participates in analyzing the risks, costs and benefits of proposed IT service changes;
• Applies change control procedures;
• Applies tools, techniques and processes to track, log and correct information related to configuration items;
• Verifies and approves changes ensuring the protection of assets and components from unauthorized change, diversion and inappropriate use.

• Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 3 years post-related experience. Or a secondary educational qualification with 5 years post-related experience.
• At least 3 years of practical experience in performing change requests from initiation to closure while engaging with relevant process owners and stakeholders;
• Experience with BMC ITSM Change and Service Request Management is desirable;
• Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements is desirable;
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
