A leading global semiconductor innovator is seeking a Principal MEMS Development Engineer to drive the design and development of next 8209;generation MEMS resonators and core mechanical structures. This role is central to advancing the company’s high 8209;performance timing and sensing technologies.

Role Overview

You will take ownership of the design, development, and optimisation of the core mechanics within MEMS devices, pushing performance limits and enabling new product generations. This is a hands 8209;on technical leadership role suited to someone who thrives on deep device physics, mechanical design, and complex problem 8209;solving.

Key Responsibilities

-Design and develop core mechanical structures for MEMS resonators.
-Lead advanced MEMS development projects from concept to validation.
-Analyse electrical, mechanical, and thermal behaviour at wafer and device level.
-Drive experiments to understand device physics, materials, and fabrication.
-Collaborate with process, circuit, systems, and packaging teams to improve yield and performance.
-Support continuous improvement of simulation, measurement, and data 8209;analysis workflows.
Requirements

-Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
-3+ years industry experience in MEMS or semiconductor development.
-Strong understanding of mechanics, electrodynamics, thermodynamics, and MEMS device physics.
-Experience with finite 8209;element simulation tools (COMSOL, ANSYS).
-Proficiency with MATLAB or Python for data analysis.
-Demonstrated ability to design, execute, and interpret experiments.
-Strong communication skills and ability to work cross 8209;functionally.
Nice to Have

-Experience with BAW (Bulk Acoustic Wave) and/or CAW (Contour Acoustic Wave) devices.
-Knowledge of MEMS microfabrication processes.
-Experience with statistical tools (R, JMP).
-Programming and metrology experience.
