The roleAs a seasoned Mechanical Engineer with a passion for innovation and leadership, reporting to the Head of Asset Maintenance, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including other engineers, project managers, consultants, and service users to design and develop solutions which provides assurance of operation and maintenance of all mechanical services operated by the University.The role is responsible for ensuring that works to University buildings are specified, managed, controlled and carried out to required standards and programmes whilst ensuring that buildings are able to function safely and efficiently during the works period.What will you be doing?Your ability to communicate effectively will be crucial in ensuring seamless project execution. As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in our success story.You will conduct rigorous quality checks, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous enhancement by developing programmes of work across the estate to ensure key mechanical installations are maintained and replaced to the highest standards.Provide the full range of project management and administrator duties as required to deliver projects effectively and safely.
