THE ROLEThe Principal Consultant is responsible for coordinating and ensuring successful implementation of their technical area of expertise. The Principal Consultant plays the role of interface between the project team and the client, and ensures that all actions are taken to fully satisfy the client in all aspects of a technical nature. The Principal Consultant focuses on complex problems, and leads teams in resolving issues, challenges others, demonstrates proven Stakeholder Management Skills with all contacts
OPPORTUNITES

• You will be recognized internally as specialist on complex technical and business matters. Work is performed independently and in collaborative nature. Has completely mastered technical and business skills required to accomplish the job. Provide guidance, coaching and advice to less experienced consultants. Individual with a customer focus who has developed the acumen to cultivate and build lasting customer relations.

• You will provide expertise to clients in the definition of additional standard enhancements and advice on best practices.

• You will advise the client on the setting up of a production environment and on the running of the TEMENOS products including databases administration

• You will provide assistance to the Project Manager, for the planning.

• You will conduct all aspects of the implementation of TEMENOS products driving the business streams.

• You will coordinate with the TEMENOS maintenance groups to ensure that the product problems encountered by the client are understood and resolved
• You will be expected to specialize in the following business areas:

• Core Banking and Retail
• Treasury and Private Wealth Management
• You will run workshops and benchmarks to meet specific project needs. Lead the review of client organization, processes and workflows and contribute to the proposal of a ‘post-picture’ to maximize the benefit from TEMENOS products.

• You will lead the identification, definition and coordination of any implementation activities such as additional requirements, issues with the functionality under testing, training needs and liaise with

the Project Manager

• You will supervise, if and when needed, the implementation team and provide the support and escalation point for the business parts of the implementation plan

• You will be seen by the client as proactively working to facilitate the client’s understanding of the solution being offered by TEMENOS through the Model Bank. Work in a consultative manner with

the client to provide a solution to deltas identified during the analysis phase which take into account the total cost of ownership for the client

• You will obtain client agreement on proposed business solutions including end to end process overviews. Provide clear and concise functional documentation.

• You will make recommendations on industry standard banking practices and alert the project manager on practices that might damage the client’s business or contradict legal requirements, before recognition as a problem by the client.

• You will perform such other duties, functions and services, consistent with status or vocational ability, as may from time to time be required

SKILLS

• You should have a minimum of 7 years of experience in Finance or in banking software consultancy.

• You should have in depth understanding of financial and banking processes around Treasury, MI, Asset Management, Securities and Private Wealth Management.

• You should have knowledge of banking software applications, excellent knowledge in PowerPoint, Excel as well as other MS Office environment applications

• You should have product knowledge: Temenos portfolio with expert knowledge in one specific product. Strong awareness of Industry and market developments, good overall company knowledge.

• You should fully understand and be able to deploy the TEMENOS Implementation Methodology.

• You should be aware that this role involves complex activities demanding considerable coordination to effectively achieve the jobs end results. Awareness of other jobs in the project team is necessary as the job activities either influence or are influenced by these

• You should be TEMENOS certified or to acquire TEMENOS certification within a limited timeframe (to be agreed with manager) in two or more banking domains.
