Primary Teacher – The LeeStart Date: September 2024Supply Desk is seeking a Primary Teacher in The Lee area. We are searching for an individual who is passionate about teaching and capable of keeping a classroom engaged.To be successful you must:

  • Have previous experience working in a school or in an educational environment
  • Have an updated DBS (this can be arranged if not up-to-date)
  • Hold QTS / PGCE or the equivalent (Unqualified Teachers also welcome to apply)
  • Be open to Primary year groups
  • Have the confidence to be able to meet and work with new people in different environments and be able to deliver a lesson with various teaching techniques
  • Have a strong work ethic and a passion for teaching
  • Have good behaviour management and understand each pupil and their learning needs and how you can improve their progression and learning
  • Good knowledge of the national curriculum for primary pupils

Your role:

  • Experience in developing and implementing innovative teaching strategies to engage students and promote critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of culturally responsive teaching practices to effectively support students from diverse backgrounds and promote equity and inclusivity in the classroom.
  • Ability to establish positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues to foster a strong sense of community and partnership in education.
  • Commitment to maintaining a positive and growth-oriented mindset, seeking opportunities for self-reflection, feedback, and professional growth to continually enhance teaching effectiveness.
  • Willingness to participate in school-wide initiatives, committees, and professional learning communities to contribute to the ongoing improvement of school culture and instructional practices
  • Planning clear and well-structured lessons in support of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum
