Apply now for a life-changing career!The positionAs a Primary Packaging Development Engineer, you will have the main responsibility of driving the development of suitable primary packaging solutions to fit Novo Nordisk medical drug product projects.Your main responsibilities will be focused on:
- Developing primary packaging systems for parenteral administration, such as syringes/vials, from the ideation phase to drug product launch
- Document design requirements, safety risk management, and mitigations, as well as testing and documentation to facilitate the submission of Clinical Trial Applications
- Ensuring the suitability of design, material, technical performance, processability, and new supply chains for the packaging systems
- Scouting the market and meeting with suppliers to identify and refine packaging solutions
- Coordinating your workstream with stakeholders and ensuring timely delivery
You will work closely with colleagues in both Drug and Device Development, Production and Supply Chain to assent to the requirements. In general, the tasks carried out by the department are diverse as we deliver to all parts of Novo Nordisk. This gives a variety of challenges. Therefore, strong collaboration with your colleagues is an essential key to success.QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you should have:
- A MSc/BSc degree in Engineering or another relevant field within the Natural Sciences and possess at least 2 years of experience in primary packaging for pharmaceutical products or the development of medical devices/combination products
- Experience with development of Container Closure Systems for pharmaceutical use, including expertise in chemical and physical drug stability with a special focus on material-drug interactions
- Experience with Container Closure Integrity
- Experience with either Risk management or system engineering
- Experience with either ISO15378, ISO13485 and/or ISO14971
- Supplier negotiation and development of strategic partnership
- Professional proficiency in English

Devices and Delivery Solutions has the mandate and responsibility to innovate and develop the most innovative delivery solutions for the entire portfolio of Novo Nordisk’s pharmaceutical products.The unit is comprised of project management, engineering, and technical functions spanning across all competencies required to deliver on a diverse portfolio of drug/combination product and device projects. You will be part of an organization of highly skilled people – maybe the best in the industry. You will join a new, growing, and dynamic department consisting of two teams.
