Offer DescriptionA scientific staff position at post-doctoral level, combining teaching and research is opened at the ULB, due to a leave for personal convenience of a Professor of the School of Public Health. The contract is renewable each year.Main Responsibilities:*Conduct research in epidemiology and public health*Teach courses in the Master of Public Health Sciences and the Master of Specialization in “Analysis and Evaluation of Health Policies, Programs and Systems”.*Supervise student theses and internships*Contribute to the functioning of the School (faculty committees, master’s juries, etc.)*Contribute to the visibility and reinforcement of the School of Public Health’s position in national and international expertise in epidemiology and its applications in Public Health.Qualifications:*PhD in medicine with a focus on epidemiology and public health, or in public health sciences with a focus on epidemiology, or equivalent disciplines.*At least 4 years of scientific experience (the thesis can be included in this period) at the time of appointment.*Advanced skills in epidemiology, including the mastery of methods and tools commonly used in quantitative analysis (including statistical analysis software such as R, Stata®, SAS®…).*A substantial experience and an excellent scientific record, including publications in peer-reviewed journals of good standing.*Fluency in French (level C1) to teach in French as well as English language skills are required.More information about the research domains relevant for this position and the courses that will be part of the teaching package can be found in the job ad attached (under the heading “requirements”) and available on
