Offer DescriptionThe Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher.This position will be funded by project EDISON (2023 CLIMA 00105, Generalitat de Catalunya).ICIQ is one of the world’s internationally recognized leading institutions in the field of chemistry committed to solving major social and economic challenges by conducting top quality research in three main areas: SustainableCatalysis, Renewable Energy and Health. The institute also aims at training the future generation of scientists by offering high-quality educational programs to master, PhD students and postdoctoral researchers (full details on ).ICIQ is looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to work in Prof. JR Galán-Mascaros’ research group. The postdoctoral researcher will work on the processing of electrocatalysts onto electrode supports and their structural and electrochemical characterization, along characterization and validation of full cell electrolyzer devices.Responsibilities

• Processing of electrodes and MEAs.
• Electrochemical characterization (CV, LSV, EIS)
• Writing of reports and scientific articles.

Requirements

• PhD in chemistry or equivalent
• Experience in electrochemistry
• Experience in the processing of materials
• Ability to cooperate with experimental teams.
• Ability to present the results the results of research in scientific journals and in international congresses and also to non-scientific audience is a must.
• Proven excellent knowledge of English.

• Experience in the engineering of electrode supports
• Demonstrated experience in reporting and publishing research results in top scientific journals.
• S/He should be a motivated, open-minded, highly dynamic and capable of working in a team, making decisions, solving problems and creative thinking.

• A 3-year full-time employment contract.
• Remuneration according to individual’s qualifications/experience.
• Annual salary split in twelve monthly payments.
