Offer DescriptionThe Laboratory of Protein Structure at the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Warsaw (IIMCB) headed by Prof. Marcin Nowotny is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher. You will join the Team for the Research Task entitled “Horizon for Excellence in Messenger RNA applications in immunoOncology” (WIB-1/2020-O11) financed by the Virtual Research Institute (WIB) from the Polish Science Fund. The primary objective of this Research Team is to develop a highly effective therapeutic mRNA design and apply it to cancer immunotherapy. The Research Task will be carried out by a team of scientists from the IIMCB (coordinator), the University of Warsaw, the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Medical University of Warsaw.RequirementsResearch Field Biological sciences » Biology Education Level PhD or equivalentSkills/QualificationsAs a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will be responsible for the establishment of purification protocols for enzymes involved in RNA processing and testing their activity on various RNAs.Specific RequirementsRequirements for the candidate:1. Holds PhD (or will defend before the start date of employment) in biological sciences or related fields.2. Has solid knowledge and proven laboratory experience in RNA and/or protein biochemistry.3. Has excellent interpersonal skills, initiative, and ability to work independently and in a high-performance team.4. Can draft (in English) scientific papers for academic journals.5. Can communicate (in English) complex information, orally, and in writing.6. Has good presentation skills (ideally having presented during at least one international conference).7. Has published at least one publication as the first author in an international peer-reviewed journal.8.
