YOUR TASKS

 

•  You will conduct experimental work in the field of plant developmental biology, plant cell biology and plant genetics including the analysis of plant growth and development at the organism, organ and cellular level using the appropriate techniques such as bright field, confocal microscopy and time-lapse analysis of growth.
• You will characterize Arabidopsis mutants at the molecular level based on the in depth analyses of DNA sequences, validating mutations though complementation, analyzing promoter activity and protein localizations.
• You will be responsible for the bioluminescence – fluorescence dual imaging set-up and will train potential users.
• You will be involved in the writing and editing of a research paper.

 

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

 

• You hold a thesis-based doctorate in the domains of plant molecular biology, plant cell biology and/or plant developmental biology.
• You have ample experience in genetic, molecular and microscopic techniques.
• You present a strong innate interest in the technical aspects of the experimental work and the used equipment.
• You deal creatively with methodology and are capable in finding alternative solutions when technical obstacles show up.
• You have excellent English writing skills.

• We offer you a contract of definite duration for the period from 3 months
• Your contract will start on 1/12/2023 at the earliest.
