Job description
Offer DescriptionAs part of an ANR-funded project (VIRADAPT), we want to gain a better understanding of how pathogens adapt to vaccines in order to identify the most sustainable vaccine strategies, and to develop new methods for characterising the phenotypes of variants.
We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to develop a theoretical framework at the interface between population genetics and mathematical epidemiology, taking into account the different stages in the adaptation of a virus (mutation, invasion, fixation) propagating in a heterogeneous host population (naïve, naturally immunised or vaccinated).– Develop and analyse mathematical adaptation models
– Develop stochastic simulation models to monitor epidemiological and evolutionary dynamics
