Offer DescriptionIMIBIC is looking for a qualified professional to carry out scientific and technical tasks related to a research project, based at the IMIBIC/Reina Sofia University Hospital. His/her main responsibilities will be the analysis and integration of omics data (genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, etc.), and the development of advanced predictive models based on machine learning techniques, within the research group GC05 Systemic and chronic inflammatory autoimmune diseases of the locomotor system and connective tissue. The tasks are related to the project “Integrated analysis through omics technologies and artificial intelligence for the identification and implementation of personalised medicine tools for spondyloarthritis. • Design and implement complex bioinformatics analyses to integrate multiple types of data.
• Develop and apply machine learning predictive models to identify biomarkers and relevant biologic mechanisms.
• Collaborate with researchers from the group and from other groups to facilitate data analysis and interpretation of results.
• Contribute to writing manuscripts and presentations for conferences.
• Participation in 3TR project technical meetings, if needed.
• Manage and coordinate with related research projects, ensuring timely completion of tasks and meeting deadlines.

• Training or course in areas related to the job position, in any of the following disciplines (0.5 points/course up to 1 point):

• Molecular biology and/or genomics
• Bioinformatics
• Programming: Phyton, R
• Bioinformatics tools: Galaxy, Bioconductor, etc.
• Data base management and UNIX systems administration
• Experience writing technical documents, operating procedures, tenders, research project proposals, or similar (0.25 points/document, up to 1 point)
• Accredited level of English minimum B2 (official accreditation or international stay of at least 1 academic course duration, 1 point).
