Offer DescriptionJOB DESCRIPTION:The Phase Transitions and Critical Behaviors Group at CIC energiGUNE is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join our Thermal Energy Storage and Conversion research area. This position is part of an industry-collaborative project aimed at developing innovative thermal management solutions for photovoltaic panels.Main Responsibilities:

• Develop and characterize phase change materials (PCMs) primarily based on hydrated salts.
• Modify PCMs as necessary to enhance thermal properties and stability.
• Conduct thorough characterization of thermal and structural properties using DSC, TGA, XRD, SEM, FTIR, Laser Flash, and other relevant techniques.
• Fabricate modular solutions containing PCMs on a lab-scale.
• Design and build small-scale test benches to evaluate the performance of developed PCM solutions.
• Integrate designed products into real applications and test under relevant conditions.

• PhD Degree in Materials Science, Applied Physics, Thermal engineering or related fields.
