Offer DescriptionProject/Grant title: NCN SONATA 2020/39/D/ST4/00560 / New Molecular Architectures for Exploring Singlet FissionDescription of tasks: We are looking for a motivated Post-doctoral Research Assistant to join a vibrant research group studying novel optoelectronic organic materials. Key responsibilities at this position will include the theoretical and experimental analysis of polycyclic hydrocarbon-based materials, solving encountered experimental problems, creating new ideas within the project scope, testing hypotheses, analyzing scientific data from a variety of sources, supervision of junior colleagues, regular reporting of the progress.   • Hold a PhD (or equivalent) in chemistry or physics (no more than 7 years).
  • Have practical experience in design and analysis of functional materials.
  • Have an excellent general knowledge of chemistry.
  • Communicate well in English in writing and in oral and visual presentations, and be able to write reports for publication in scientific journals.
  • Have willingness to supervise and support junior coworkers.
  • Be highly motivated and have a strong commitment to research.

  • Good knowledge of physical organic chemistry and materials sciences.
