Offer DescriptionThe project “ZeNeuroid” aims to develop a standardized and automated human-based neural organoid network on-a-chip for drug screening purposes. The part of the project developed at the University of Barcelona is related to develop the microphysiological platforms using microfabrication technologies and validate them.The postdoctoral researcher will have to validate the technologies with iPSC derived neuronal cell lines and the 3D neural network cultures and perform connectivity studies, adapt the 3D cultures to the microphysiological platform and perform neural activity and connectivity characterization using calcium imaging techniques.The selected candidate will work in close collaboration with our Industrial partner, the company ZeClinics who is responsible of developing the biological model of the neural organoids.The postdoctoral researcher will also take care of the scientific managing of the project, together with the PI. In this regards, she/he will also co-supervise other students and research assistants working on the project.Gross salary per year: 35.000 €.Where to apply WebsiteRequirementsResearch Field Neurosciences Education Level PhD or equivalentSkills/Qualifications

• Extensive experience with iPSC culture and differentiation technique
• Proficiency in advanced imaging techniques and data analysis.
• Strong background in neuropsychiatric disease modelling and 3D cell culture technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment.
