Offer DescriptionWe offer one fully funded Postdoc position (2 years with the possibility of an extension) at the Theory of Condensed Matter Physics Department under the scope of the ERC-StG project TIMELIGHT, led by Paloma A. Huidobro. The focus of the project is to develop theory of light-matter interactions in time-modulated nanophotonic media.We are looking for a candidate with a PhD in condensed matter Physics or related areas, preferably with experience in nanophotonics, quantum optics and related areas.Activities to be undertaken: * Development of classical and quantum theories of nanophotonic systems, in particular with temporal modulations.

• Study of vacuum radiation problems and interaction light-matter
• Programming and numerical resolution of the models proposed.

Merits to be assessed:– PhD in condensed matter physics or related areas– Previous research experience in quantum, electrodynamics, nanophotonics, quantum optics, light-matter interactions or related topics.– CV aligned with the TIMELIGHT project GA 101115792: ;– Experience in writing scientific publications and in presenting research results in congresses.
