The Saxo Institute, in the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Copenhagen is inviting applications for one postdoctoral fellowship in history starting on 1 January 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.This is a fixed-term position for 24 months.Job content
The postdoctoral fellowship is part of the research project Radical Pietism in Northern Europe: Social Protest on the Verge of Modernity, 1690-1750, funded by the Independent Research Fund Denmark and headed by Associate Professor Juliane Engelhardt. A description of the overall aim of the project can be read here: .The postdoctoral fellow will be responsible for a sub-project that focuses how radical Pietists translated their conversion into distinct vestimentary, corporal, and emotional styles. Appointment as a postdoc presumes research qualifications on at least PhD level. The degree should be obtained no earlier than 22 September 2018.For more about postdoc positions and qualification requirements, see the Ministry of Education and Research’s .Applicants must possess skills in written and spoken academic English at a high level. The ability to read German is a further requirement. The postdoctoral fellow is expected to live in Denmark during the scholarship. They will furthermore be offered a workplace at the Saxo Institute and be expected to participate in the intellectual life of Institute and the larger UCPH community.Application
