Beyond the professionalism of each individual, at UIC Barcelona, you will find a young and dynamic working atmosphere.Click to find out more about UIC Barcelona.About your roleWe are looking for a postdoctoral fellow in the IRAPP (Research Institute for Evaluation and Public Policies) for the project “FLASH – Flexible Approach to Support Health through Financing” Funded by the Horizon Europe Programme – Call Horizon-HLT-2022-CARE-08-04: “Better financing models for health systems” under the Gran Agreement n. 101095424 – CUP E63C22002360006, to undertake research under the supervision of Professor Toni Mora at UIC Barcelona.Key tasksThe research fellow will autonomously develop the research topics and be able to use empirical econometric methods. A relevant research activity is related to a systematic review of the international literature on several aspects of Health Economics. Further research activities are also associated with statistical data analysis and Machine Learning techniques.Duties will include:● Search related literature.● Write research academic papers.● Conduct microeconometric analysis.● Apply Machine Learning methodologies.The postdoctoral associate is expected to develop proficiency in relevant literature in this research area, be involved in preparing first- and co-authored manuscripts and research proposals, and make presentations at professional meetings.Where to apply E-mail[email protected]RequirementsResearch Field Economics » Economic policy Education Level Master Degree or equivalentResearch Field Economics » Other Education Level Master Degree or equivalentSkills/QualificationsThe following aspects of the applicant’s CV will be taken into account:Professional knowledge and experience. - The ability to undertake mentored research with a high degree of independence. Special attention will be paid to applicants who have contributed by publishing research papers in high-impact journals (50%).

- Applied microeconometric methods.
- Machine Learning methodology.
- Knowledge of Stata, R, and Python.
