Offer DescriptionThe study of electronic motion on the attosecond time scale makes it possible to probethe determining effects of correlation inaccessible by other methods. Recent experimental progress extends these observations to complex systems such as condensed matter where electronic and collective scattering effects are predominant. Our team has expertise in gas phase measurements on atomic systems and we are now conducting liquid phase experiments on jets with cylindrical geometry. The subject of this one-year post doctorate is to implement a new jet geometry compatible with a vacuum environment and photoelectron detection. By using flat jets created either by collision of cylindrical jets or by dynamic gas beam we will increase our laser coverage and our photoelectron collection efficiency. This new approach will also allow us to make our measurements more reliable and extend them to solvated systems that are still inaccessible to attosecond measurements.Experimental study
