Offer DescriptionThe Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education. ISGlobal has a broad portfolio in communicable and non-communicable diseases including environmental and climate determinants, and applies a multidisciplinary scientific approach ranging from the molecular to the population level. ISGlobal is accredited with the Severo Ochoa distinction, a seal of excellence of the Spanish Science Ministry.LocationBarcelonaWhat We Are Looking forWe are looking for a full-time postdoctoral researcher to join our young, dynamic BrainChild Lab led by Prof. Mònica Guxens ( ). The candidate will work on the potential health effects of RF-EMF on children’s neuropsychological development as part of GOLIAT (5G exposure, causal effects, and risk perception through citizen engagement) funded by Horizon Europe (grant agreement 101057262) ( ). The candidate will apply state-of-the-art causal inference methods (e.g., negative control outcomes, instrumental variables, propensity score matching, marginal structural models) using data from several European and Asian cohort studies. The candidate will have the opportunity to do a research stay of 6 months to Harvard School of Public Health in a second year of contract. The work will also involve coordination of the data collection and data cleaning of all the cohorts involved in the project.Specific Duties
