Offer DescriptionPostdoctoral positions available at the Neurometabolic Lab at IDIBELL, Bellvitge Campus ( in Barcelona, Spain, led by ICREA Professor Aurora Pujol. Our lab applies Genomic Medicine from diagnostics and gene discovery all the way into clinical trials with repurposed drugs for brain genetic diseases, the leukodystrophies.We are using multiomic approaches to decipher the metabolic crosstalk of the brain with the innate and adaptive immune systems. We are seeking cell/ molecular biologists or immunologists interested in brain inflammation, organellar crosstalk, bioenergetics and lipid metabolism. Candidates would be eager to leverage integrative multiomic approaches on human iPSC-derived brain organoids and patient’s blood samples to directly impact clinical care by finding biomarkers and therapeutic targets. Translation of predictive biomarkers guiding personalized medicine is ensured through collaborative stages with the biotech Precision for Medicine GMBH (Epiontis), in Berlin Germany (1).Enthusiastic and self-motivated team players with strong publication record are encouraged to apply.
