Postdoc position in co-created mosquito control interventions at the Department of Public Health
We are looking for a highly motivated, multidisciplinary postdoc for a 2,5-year position, starting 15 December 2024.Project descriptionThe postdoc position is focused on the development and evaluation of co-created mosquito control interventions in Zanzibar as part of the Danida-funded projects, MBD-Free and BSU4-SUZA . The postdoc will be based at the Global Health Section at the Department of Public Health, University of Copenhagen, Denmark while working in close collaboration with project partners from State University of Zanzibar, Tanzania.Information about the department can be found at:Our Research and EducationThe Global Health Section has a broad research portfolio with a strong focus on health equity concerns across low-, middle- and high-income countries. Our current research areas include infectious and neglected tropical diseases, global mental health, environmental and planetary health, climate change, disasters and resilience, as well as sexual and reproductive health and rights. The Section has a strong focus on research-based education and outreach and is active in several capacity strengthening projects including MBD-Free and BSU4-SUZA.The section hosts two educational programmes at the Department of Public Health: a Master of Science in Global Health and a professional Master in Disaster Management. In addition, we offer several elective courses at Masters and PhD level. The programs and courses are taught in English to an internal student body.
