Job description

Berkeley Quantum Devices Group (quantumdevices.berkeley.edu) and NQCP/Quantum Foundry are collaborating on advancing spin-photon interfaces in silicon photonics for scalable networking of quantum devices. This position is for a postdoctoral researcher who will perform work at Berkeley on advancing spin and optical coherence of color centers in silicon photonic devices.Responsibilities:

• Perform device fabrication, characterization and quantum optical experiments with spin-photon interfaces in silicon photonics
• Document and communicate results of work in peer-reviewed-journal publications and in oral presentations, including participation in meetings, conferences, and reviews.

Qualifications:

• Recent Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics or a related field
• Experience in experimental quantum science with solid-state devices
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with students and postdocs at Berkeley and NQCP
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.
