Faculty of ScienceUniversity of CopenhagenHuman-AI interaction in digital health presents unique challenges related to the responsible design, development, and deployment of systems based on machine learning and generative AI. This 3-year postdoctoral position is open to applicants holding a PhD in human-computer interaction, computer science, information technology, or a related field. The ideal candidate will be interested in advancing research and teaching in digital health, with a particular focus on human-computer interaction and patient- and clinician-facing AI.The position is associated with two projects, which the candiate is expected to lead: 1) Conduciting a near-live evaluation of a deep learning model designed for radiologists to detect findings in chest X-rays, and 2) Assessing a real-time, ML-based colonoscopy decision-support system currently undergoing pilot implementation.The postdoc’s duties will include research within human-AI interaction in digital health as well as teaching a 7.5 ECTS elective course called Development of Cloud-Based Health Apps on the Health Informatics bachelor education as well as some teaching in the general area of software engineering and architecture. The post may also include performance of other duties, such as undergraduate student co-supervision.The position is partially funded by the Pioneer Centre for Artificial Intelligence (P1), a 5-university research centre hosted by the University of Copenhagen’s Department of Computer Science. Applicants should have or be about to receive a PhD degree in a subject relevant to the research area, and have good written and oral English skills. Proficiency in Danish is a plus since the projects may involve communication to Danish speaking participatns. Experience with all stages of conducting HCI research, programming competencies, and teaching experience are also desirable. The assessment of your qualifications will be based on previous scientific publications (if any) and relevant work experience.
