Offer DescriptionAs part of the ERC REGULADOSIX project, the person recruited will study the developmental and molecular consequences of the absence of dose compensation during mouse development using in vivo and ex vivo systems.– Setting up ex vivo embryonic systems
– Generation of mutant ES lines using CRISPR/Cas9
– Analysis of cell type specification/maintenance and gene expression programmes (omics, IF, RT-qPCR)
– Data analysis and statistics
– Communication of results (writing articles, conference presentations, etc.)
– Co-supervision of studentsThe person recruited will work in the context of the ERC-funded REGULADOSIX project within the ‘Developmental Regulation of Gene Dosage’ team led by Rafael Galupa and recently created within the MCD unit. MCD comprises around thirty teams studying Molecular, Cellular and Developmental aspects in multiple species. MCD is part of the Centre for Integrative Biology, which provides a stimulating multidisciplinary environment for research into dose compensation. Additional commentsThe salary and postdoc project are provided by the REGULADOSIX project, funded by an ERC Starting Grant awarded to Rafael Galupa. One-year contract, renewable up to three years. The successful candidate is still expected to apply for postdoctoral fellowships.
