Job title:
Postdoc in Real Time Detection of Mass Transport in Engineered Tissue – DTU Health Tech
Company:
Danmarks Tekniske Universitet
Job description
Job Description:Are you passionate about guiding tissue formation using custom designed cell culture ware, and use these tissue models to study drug mass transport in time and space, you may be our new post-doc.With the project 4DMAPPER – 4D mapping of transport and metabolism in organ on a chip, we develop a novel, label-free dynamic molecular profiler with high resolution in space and time (4D). 4DMAPPER will enable localized measurements of unlabeled molecules in 3D, and real-time visualization of mass transport in ex-vivo tissue and other 3D materials.Responsibilities and qualifications
We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for designing, fabricating, and validating novel cell culture ware to be used in a custom-built Raman microscope for the detection of unlabelled drug molecules. Additionally, you will utilize the Raman microscope to measure transport in hydrogels and tissue models. This role involves close collaboration with a fellow post-doc who is developing the Raman microscope.Your primary tasks will be:
- Design and fabricate polystyrene cell culture ware using 3D printing, vacuum forming, and laser micromachining.
- Validate the usability of the devices for mass transport studies by comparing fluorescent markers with corresponding unlabelled markers and drugs detected using Raman microscopy.
- Employ 3D models to study mass transport using simpler 3D cancer models and intestine barrier models
- Measure and model mass transport of drugs and molecules in time and space (in collaboration with a fellow post-doc) across various gels and artificial tissues.
We expect that you have documented experience in the field of biomaterials or organ ona chips and especially with polymeric microfabrication, hydrogels chemistry and cell culture. As a formal qualification, you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent). We offer
