Job Description:Danish Centre for Motivation and Behaviour Science (DRIVEN) ) at the Department of Sports Science and Clinical Biomechanics, research unit of , invites applications for a 3-year postdoc position in physical activity behaviour change to be filled in the period January 6, 2025 to January 5, 2028.The position and the projectThe candidate will manage a project funded by the Danish Heart Foundation (Hjerteforeningen) which aims to develop, refine and test an intervention designed to increase Vigorous Intermittent Lifestyle Physical Activity (VILPA) in physically inactive women aged 40-65. VILPA refers to brief (1-2 mins each) bouts of intense physical activity integrated into activities of daily living. The research team awarded the funding consists of internationally leading researchers across 3 continents. The present project is the world’s first intervention designed to increase VILPA.Specific roles and responsibilities include * Being the recruitment lead for the various phases of the project
- Lead the development of the scientific part of the intervention
- Analyse quantitative and qualitative data from the project
- Being the point of liaison between the research team and the partner organisations
- Lead or co-lead project dissemination activities such as conference presentations, dissemination reports, end-of-project seminar and manuscripts for academic journals
The candidate will also be expected to participate in and contribute to the life of the Department of Sports Science and Clinical Biomechanics as well as to initiatives and activities of the Danish Centre for Motivation and Behaviour Science and of the research unit of Sport and Health Sciences such as meetings, seminars and other related events.For information on postdoc positions at the Department of Sports Science and Clinical Biomechanics in general, pleaseQualificationsWe are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:Essential:
- A PhD degree in physical activity and health, public health, health psychology or related disciplines
- Research experience related to the area of digital interventions for health, physical activity promotion and behaviour change, ideally documented by research output in peer-reviewed publications
- Excellent English written communication skills
- Experience with analysis of quantitative and qualitative data
- Experience with project management of research activities
Desirable:
- Experience in using accelerometers to collect physical activity data
- Experience of co-design and user involvement in health-related projects
