Postdoc in Molecular Analysis of Targeted Therapy Resistance and the Tumor Microenvironment
Company:
Syddansk Universitet
Job description
The Department of Molecular Medicine at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) is seeking a highly motivated postdoc for a two-year position. The position is available as soon as possible. The successful candidate will investigate the molecular mechanisms of resistance to targeted therapies and explore how the tumor microenvironment influences the resistance. The project is funded by the Novo Nordisk foundation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in cancer biology and therapeutics. You will lead a research project that focuses on how inflammatory conditions in the tumor microenvironment regulate targeted therapy responses in lung cancer. You will employ advanced techniques such as spectral flow cytometry and cell sorting, orthotopic lung cancer models and RNA sequencing. The ideal candidate will have a background in molecular biology, cancer research, and experience with animal cancer models, flow cytometry and RNA sequencing. The postdoc position is available in the group of Associate Professor Mikkel Green Terp ( ), focusing on how interactions between cancer cells and their microenvironment regulate therapy responses.Research environmentThe candidate will be integrated in the Cancer Unit at the Department.
