At the Faculty of Engineering and Science, AAU Energy, a position as Postdoc in Large Language Models for Technical Support is open for appointment from 1 November 2024 or soon hereafter. Research and teaching are in the absolute world elite in the field of energy, and we have extensive and leading workshop and laboratory facilities, where research and innovation are carried out in direct collaboration with industry to a great extent.The position is offered in relation to the research program”Offshore Drones and Robotics(Robotics),” and the Postdoc will be positioned in the Esbjerg Section.Research areas will include the implementation and fine-tuning of large language models(LLMs) to enhance accuracy and efficiency, and the development of retrieval-augmented generation(RAG) systems for better integration and output relevance. The candidate will work on optimizing database interaction and management to support these models, ensuring efficient data processing and security. Additionally, they will develop user-friendly web interfaces for interaction with the LLM.The ideal candidate for the postdoctoral position should possess a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, with a strong focus on machine learning and natural language processing. They should have hands-on experience in implementing and fine-tuning large language models(LLMs) and retrieval-augmented generation(RAG) systems. Proficiency in database interaction and management is essential, along with a solid understanding of integrating these components into user-friendly web interfaces. The candidate should demonstrate a robust research background, evidenced by relevant publications, and exhibit excellent programming skills in languages such as Python, as well as experience with frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch. The research potential of each applicant will be emphasized in the overall assessment.
