Job Description:Within the research project Hybrid Quantum Chemistry on Hybrid Quantum Computers, funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation, we have an opening for a three-year postdoctoral to work on the development of quantum chemical methods and algorithms for the prediction of molecular properties and spectra on hybrid classic-quantum architectures.Responsibilities and qualifications

• Development of Quantum Algorithms for Quantum Chemistry calculations of molecular properties and spectra on hybrid classic-quantum architectures. Dissemination of the results of the research in scientific articles and at conferences is an integral part of the postdoc’s responsibilities
• Participation in the group meetings and activities of the NNF project “Hybrid Quantum Chemistry on Hybrid Quantum Computers”
• A smaller amount of teaching activities in BSc or MSc courses at the Department of Chemistry, Technical University of Denmark

As a formal qualification, you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent) in one of the following fields:

• Physics
• Chemistry
• Mathematics
• Computer Science
• Quantum Information Science
• Information Science

Additional Required Qualifications
At least one of the following additional qualifications is required:

• Documented experience on the development of quantum computing algorithms for quantum chemistry applications on NISQ and/or (early) fault tolerant quantum computers.
• Experience with quantum computing software libraries like IBM’s Qiskit or Pennylane
• Programming experience with python and/or compiled languages like C++/Fortran
• Documented experience on method developments in quantum chemistry
