We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic researcher for a 2-year postdoctoral position, with the possibility of extension, to commence January 2025 or after agreement.The position will be based in the Stewart-Morgan group at the Department for Cellular and Molecular Medicine (ICMM) within the University of Copenhagen. The focus of the Stewart-Morgan group is epigenetic dynamics and function in germ cell biology. We use both in vivo and in vitro systems of mammalian gametogenesis to study the role of the epigenome in germ cells and elucidate general epigenetic principles using this unique biological system. Your tasks will include designing experimental strategies, generation and analysis of complex datasets, and writing of scientific manuscripts. Additional tasks could include contributing to grant applications, research-based supervision of MSc and PhD students, teaching undergraduate courses, and outreach communication activities.Profile

The Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine (ICMM) offers an ambitious scientific environment, with many different nationalities represented. The average weekly working hours are 37 hours per week.The position is a fixed-term position for a period of 2 years, with the possibility of extension. The starting date is 1 January 2025 or after agreement.Salary, pension and other conditions of employment are set in accordance with the Agreement between the Ministry of Taxation and AC (Danish Confederation of Professional Associations) or other relevant organisation. Currently, the monthly salary starts at 38,500 DKK/approx. 5,100 EUR (April 2024 level). Depending on qualifications, a supplement may be negotiated. The employer will pay an additional 17.1 % to your pension fund.
