Offer DescriptionOur lab interrogates the mechanisms of the cell to preserve genome integrity with a particular focus on breast cancer variants altering the tumor suppressor and DNA repair gene BRCA2. Using this model, we also hope to uncover drivers of tumor formation. We combine molecular, biochemical and cell biology techniques together with cutting-edge “omics” approaches.THE APPLICANTCandidates with a PhD in cell biology, bioinformatics, biochemistry or related areas with a strong interest in genome integrity maintenance mechanisms and its link to cancer may apply to obtain one of the seven 3-year funded postdoctoral Fellowships offered at CBMSO.The applicant should have at least 1 publication or preprint as first author to apply.
