Job Description:If you are ready to take the next step in your academic career and break new ground where materials science meets electrochemistry and sustainable energy technologies, DTU Energy invites you to apply for this fully funded 2-year Postdoc position.The position is based in the Section for Electrochemical Materials, and the project focuses on fabrication, characterization, and testing of bipolar membranes in electrodialysis cells for CO2 capture.Responsibilities and qualifications
The objective of the project is to develop scalable fabrication methods of high-performing bipolar membranes and to characterize the materials under CO2 capture relevant conditions in electrodialysis cells. The work spans materials synthesis and processing to device integration and electrochemical characterization.Your primary tasks will include:

• Modification of polymers and development of scalable processing methods of multilayered composite membranes
• Characterization of the membranes and components with respect to physicochemical properties, electrochemical behavior, and structure/morphology
• Establishment of test infrastructure for electrodialysis experiments, including test cells and auxiliary equipment
• Engagement in discussions and communication with colleagues and project team
• Documentation of work and dissemination of results

Qualified candidates must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent) in materials science, chemical engineering, electrochemical engineering, or similar fields. The candidate must also be:

• Experienced with polymer modification and materials processing
• Experienced with electrochemical characterization techniques, electrochemical reactor engineering and device testing
• Proactive and driven by challenges
• Able to work independently as well as within a team environment
• Excited to work in a dynamic, diverse, and interdisciplinary group
• Able to plan and carry out complicated tasks and pursue parallel paths
• Effective at documenting, communicating and reporting the work in both written and oral English
