Offer DescriptionVHIR offers a vacant position for a post-doctoral researcher with immunological background for the Infection and Immunocompromised Pediatric Patient Research Group and related to the UNDINE H2021 grantMain responsibilities and duties

  • Performance of immunological studies (wet-lab).
  • Participation/assistance in manuscript writing for publication in scientific journals and/or presentations.
  • Supervision of other personnel in the laboratory to coordinate research efforts for increased efficiency; participate in training of fellows, residents and students as needed.
  • Search of pertinent scientific literature as needed.
  • Assistance in ordering and procurement of supplies and equipment and with general maintenance of laboratory.
  • Updating of the patient databases.

Required:

  • Degree or Grade in Biosciences (Biology, Biomedicine, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Human Biology, Genetics, etc.).
  • Master in Biosciences (Biosciences, Biomedicine, Immunology, Genetics, Biochemistry, etc.)
  • PhD related with Biosciences (Biosciences, Biomedicine, Immunology, Genetics, Biochemistry, etc.).

Experience and knowledgeRequired:

  • Proven experience in advanced flow cytometry, panel design, equipment calibration.
  • Experience in manual and semi-automated western blotting.
  • Experience in ELISA techniques for autoantibodies determination.
  • Experience in Luminex multiplex assays.
  • Experience in cell cultures and cell isolation.
  • Previous experience with the group or similar groups.
  • Ability to answer scientific questions through experimental design.
  • Experience in managing and coordinating a research laboratory.
  • Publications in scientific journals certifying the expertise.

Desired:

  • Experience in laboratory tests related to COVID-19.
  • Experience in diagnosis and/or genetic analysis of primary immunodeficiencies.
  • Management of anonymized patient databases.
