Applications are invited for a 2-year postdoctoral position in the field of exoplanets and their host stars at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, Aarhus University, Denmark. While there will also be time to pursue other lines of related research, the postdoc is expected to collaborate closely with the other members of the Astronomy group at the department.Your profileThe applicant should hold a PhD in astronomy or similar and have experience in handling data. In addition, the applicant should have expertice in asteroseismology, astrophysical noise sources, machine learning or star-planet interactions. Demonstrated ability to publish in relevant astrophysics journals and a strong oral and written proficiency in English is considered essential. Further beneficial qualifications include time management skills and the ability and motivation to develop and pursue new ideas.Who we areThe astronomy group is home to several people working with exoplanets and exoplanet host stars as well as experts in stellar modelling and stellar oscillations.
