Job description
Offer Description
ICFO is offering a postdoctoral position to a well-qualified, highly motivated and dynamic young scientist who wishes to contribute advance technologies that drive the clean energy transition.
The CO2 Mitigation Accelerated by Photons group led by Prof. Dr. Pelayo García de Arquer is searching for exceptional researchers, with an excellent proven track record, to develop efficient catalyst and electrodes to convert carbon and nitrogen waste in renewable fertilizers, within the framework of the EU-EIC-funded collaborative project ICONIC.
The successful candidate will lead on the design and characterization of novel catalysts, and their implementation into nanostructured electrodes within flow cell- and MEA-based reactors. The candidate will work together with other group members and collaborators (TU Delft, TU Munich, ICMAB, ICN2, and Trinity College Dublin) to develop a new technology seeking to obtain urea from polluted water streams.
The postdoctoral candidate will have the opportunity to work in an EU vibrant project at the intersection of spectroscopies, electrochemistry, materials science, and chemical engineering, as well as utilize state-of-the-art fabrication and characterization facilities.
