Offer DescriptionThis post-doctorate is part of a project of the Priority Research Programs and Equipment (PEPR) Origins dedicated to understanding our origins: from planet formation to life. This offer is part of the ASTRO-AFMIR (ASTROmaterials revealed by Atomic Force Microscopy – InfraRed) project, which aims to develop a state-of-the-art instrument for hyperspectral infrared imaging at the nanometric scale. The next-generation instrument implemented in this project will be able to map the chemical variations of organic and inorganic matter in extraterrestrial materials at the nanoscale in the context of the return of extraterrestrial samples by space missions, and for other valuable samples while preserving their integrity. The aim is to carry out measurements in preparation for the implementation and integration of this instrument within an existing platform dedicated to multi-scale infrared analysis (MUSIICS). One of the objectives is to take charge of sample preparation and experimental measurements, data processing and the scientific valorization of results. The person recruited will be expected to participate in the other experimental activities of the host team on an ad hoc basis.Main tasks :

SkillsThe Institut des Sciences Moléculaires d’Orsay (ISMO – UMR 8214) is a research unit associated with the CNRS and the Université Paris- Saclay.
