ISGlobal is accredited with the Severo Ochoa distinction, a seal of excellence of the Spanish Science Ministry.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORISGlobal is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented post-doctoral researcher with at least 3 years of experience after PhD to lead research activities on youth mental health determinants within the H2020 EARLY project. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading Work Package 3 (WP3), overseeing research activities, managing collaborations, and ensuring the successful completion of project deliverables. The position and salary will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.The EARLY project is a collaborative initiative aimed at advancing the understanding of mental health challenges across Europe and beyond. EARLY brings together 19 institutions from 14 countries, including academic partners and key stakeholders. The project’s goal is to strengthen knowledge and develop targeted, evidence-based intervention strategies to support youth mental health.l is looking for a full-time PREDOCTORAL FELLOW for the MISTRAL project is interested in taking over and managing activities involvingsdfasdfasdfKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Advance research on youth mental health determinants by leading WP3.
Identify gaps in exposure measurement through qualitative research and stakeholder engagement. * Oversee the implementation of a multi-country cross-sectional survey, ensuring high-quality data collection and analysis.
- Ensure collaboration with national and international partners to align project methodologies and outputs.
- Support capacity building within the team by supervising junior researchers and guiding research activities.
- Disseminate research findings through publications, project reports, and presentations.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Manage WP3 activities, ensuring research progress aligns with project timelines and objectives.
- Supervise the identification and review of datasets on youth mental health determinants to support the expansion of the Living Common Dataset.
- Coordinate a qualitative study designed to identify risk factors not captured in existing datasets, engaging with stakeholders and overseeing data collection and analysis.
- Oversee the finalisation and implementation of a multi-country survey on youth mental health, ensuring consistency in survey design, monitoring data collection, and leading the analysis.
- Lead the completion of a systematic review on youth mental health determinants, overseeing quality checks, data extraction, and synthesis of evidence.
- Lead manuscript preparation and scientific writing, ensuring high-quality research outputs.

- PhD in public health, epidemiology, psychology, health economics, social sciences, or a related field.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- At least three years of postdoctoral research experience in youth mental health, social determinants of health, or related areas.
- Strong background in quantitative and qualitative research methods, including quasi-experimental methods and validation of instruments.
- Proven ability to lead research projects and manage collaborations across multiple institutions.
- Proven ability to publish in peer-reviewed journals and present research findings.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Experience supervising junior researchers or research assistants is desirable.
LANGUAGE LEVEL
- Proficiency in English and Spanish.
