Offer DescriptionSuccessful candidate will join the team working on the modelling of the beta-omega phase transition in metastable beta-Ti alloys. The specific research tasks planned for the postdoc researcher include: (i) development of new models within the phase-field method; (i) analysis of omega-phase nucleation scenarios; (iii) performing computer simulations of microstructure evolution. The theoretical and computational tools will include micromechanics, finite-element method and phase-field method. The scope of work can be to some extent adjusted to the profile and background of the candidate. The project is run in a close collaboration with the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic.
