Job tasks:Participation in a research project “Aiding and rescuing Jews in occupied Poland – new approaches”, headed by prof. dr hab. Barbara Engelking, funded by the National Science Centre as part of the competition “OPUS-26” No. 2023/51/B/HS3/01885, in particular:1. selection of the topic(s) related to the project and preparation of the concept of the analytical work, including preparation of literature and performance of archival searches;2. analysis of source materials and preparation on this basis of scientific articles in Polish or English and submitting them for publication in a journal that will meet the NSC requirements for publication in open access or a collective volume;3. preparation and presentation of conference papers based on the above analysis;4. participation in project team meetings;5. participation in administrative work related to the tasks performed;6. organisation of seminars and other substantive and organisational tasks assigned by the PI.Where to apply E-mail[email protected]RequirementsResearch Field Sociology Education Level PhD or equivalentSkills/Qualifications
- research experience, publications and interests in the field of World War II, in particular the Holocaust, Polish-Jewish relations during the occupation and the post-war discourse about them, especially in the context of providing help to Jews;
- experience in archival research (including orientation to source materials on the above-mentioned issues) and data processing and archiving;
- experience of working in research grants;
- knowledge of the publication process;
