Offer DescriptionAn announcement for PostDoc position.Applications are invited for 1 (one) postdoctoral research position (adiunkt w grupie pracowników badawczych) in the Department of Chemistry and CNBCh, Warsaw, Poland. The position is available in the project entitled „Alkaline air battery”, under OPUS20 no. 2020/39/B/ST4/02548 founded by the National Science Centre. The successful applicant will join the research group to develop new tools for in-situ observations of electrochemical reactions and synthesize the electrodes in the form of powders, nanotubes/nanopores using the tools offered by high voltage electrochemistry. - Prior experience in the field is not required, but candidates should have a PhD in chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering or related field by the position start date.
- Experience in the laboratory, including experimental design, data acquisition, and data analysis.
- English-language written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, fulfill project goals, and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to perform research and publish results in peer-reviewed literature.
The candidate needs to meet requirements included in art. 113 of the Law on Higher Education and Science dated on July 20, 2018 (Polish Journal of Laws of 2021, no. 478).Specific RequirementsWithin the frame of the project no.2020/39/B/ST4/02548 the successful candidate is required to:
- Plan and perform the experiments according to the project plan,
- Analyze data and perform written project reports,
- Prepare manuscripts with cooperation of the project leader,
- Disseminate of the project results via journal articles and conference presentations.

Contract of employment will be 18 months, remuneration will be 120 000 PLN annually (gross salary, net income is approx. 55-60% depending on candidate profile). Social benefits are granted according to the regulations for public service. The position is free from teaching duties.
